What You Need to Know

• New Annual Memberships are limited and based on availability.  Memberships become available when current members do not renew their membership for the upcoming year.
• Any available memberships are issued via a lottery to allow an equal chance for those memberships.
  • Lottery sales will start on the first Friday after Thanksgiving and end COB on the first Saturday in December.
  • Each lottery entry will cost $10.  All money collected for Mug Club lottery sales will be donated to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.
  • Only one lottery entry per person/name permitted.  This keeps chances equal across the entire pool of entries.
  • Lottery drawing will take place at 2:00 on the first Sunday in December.  All folks whose name is drawn will be notified by the end of the day.  You do not need to be present to win.
  • Winners not present will be notified by email and will have seven days from the drawing date to claim their membership via payment in full.  Runners up will be notified after seven days and offered any spots not claimed in the first seven days.
  • The name on the entry is the name that the mug and number will be assigned for the new membership (no substitutions).
  • Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received and the number of available spots.
• Cost of new membership is $175, which includes a new mug.
• Membership runs thru December of the following year.
• A “medallion” will be issued after the first of the year to all GBCMC members to attach to their mug, which will indicate they are a current Mug Club Member for the new year. Must show medallion to receive benefits.
• Transferring Membership
  • Membership may be transferred from the original member to another person for a $25 transfer fee paid by the person receiving the transferred membership and only if the membership is current. GBC does not provide a new mug for the transferring member.
• Refunds
  • No refunds will be given for memberships/renewals.
